  8. Synopsis
  9. --------
  10. TrayDrive allows a Windows NT 4.x or Windows 95 user to add one or
  11. more hard disk graphs to the system tray.  These graphs present the user
  12. with a quick yet accurate analysis of all accessible drives including
  13. local, LAN, CD-ROM, and removable drives.

  17. TrayDrive was written for Windows NT 4.0 and Windows Æ95.

  20. Major features
  21. --------------
  22. o Displays convenient task bar icon next to the task bar clock.
  23. o Displays convenient tooltip over TrayDrive task bar icon. 
  24. o TrayDrive can monitor one or more drives.
  25. o TrayDrive can provide feedback on drive status based on Percentage
  26.   Used or MB Free.
  27. o TrayDrive can monitor the drive(s) using several standard rates as
  28.   well as Custom, with which the user can specify any rate from every
  29.   second to over 48 hours.

  32. Installation
  33. ------------
  34. TrayDrive is distributed in 2 ways:
  35. A. As a self-installing executable (exe)
  36. B. As a zip file containing the base files for TrayDrive
  37.  
  38. o For the self-installing executable, simply doubleclick
  39.   on the .exe and follow the on-line instructions.
  40.  
  41. o For the zip file, unzip the file and place all the files in a new
  42.   folder, perhaps called "TrayDrive".  To run the program, execute
  43.   or double-click TrayDrive.exe.
  44.  
  45. o For both installations, to schedule TrayDrive to always run at startup
  46.   of Windows NT or '95, create a shortcut in your "Startup" folder.
  47.   
  48.   Detailed shortcut information:
  49.   Using the Explorer, right click and drag TrayDrive.exe  and drop it in
  50.   your Startup folder,  choose "Create Shortcut Here" from the popup
  51.   menu.  For detailed help, please see the manual for NT or '95, refer
  52.   to "Shortcuts."

  55. Uninstallation
  56. --------------
  57. If you installed using the self-installing .exe file:
  58. Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs and select TrayDrive
  59. from the listing - TrayDrive will automatically uninstall.

  61. If you manually unzipped the TrayDrive files:
  62. Delete the folder you created during the install, perhaps "TrayDrive".
  63. All the files and settings used by TrayDrive will be deleted.

  66. Registration
  67. ------------
  68. TrayDrive is Shareware.  You may use it for a trial period of 30 days.  After
  69. 30 days, you must either register the product or discontinue usage of it.  The
  70. registration fee is US $15.

  74. o Registration of TrayDrive will entitled you to all versions of TrayDrive,
  75.   now and in the future.
  76. o You will be supporting the Shareware concept and keeping Shareware prices
  77.   low for everyone.
  78. o Although all feedback and/or comments are much appreciated, your input on
  79.   what new features should be included in new releases of TrayDrive may
  80.   carry greater weight.

  86. Go to http://www.ebus.simplenet.com/registration.htm for TrayDrive on-line
  87. registration or select Register via the web from the on-line TrayDrive
  88. Popup Menu

  90. Using the EBus registration program:
  91. Select Register by mail, fax, or e-mail from the on-line Popup Menu or
  92. execute Register.exe located in your TrayDrive directory.

  103. Quick Introduction to TrayDrive Usage 
  104. -------------------------------------
  105. o Click with mouse button 2 on the TrayDrive icon to access the Popup Menu 
  106.    o Use Options to change the options for TrayDrive. 
  107.    o Use About to view the About screen for TrayDrive and/or register
  108.      TrayDrive.
  109.    o Use Register to register your version of TrayDrive.
  110.    o Use Help to access the TrayDrive Help.
  111.    o Use Exit to exit TrayDrive.

  113. o Double-clicking the TrayDrive icon will also access the Options.
